Power Of Negativity

Words like effort, discipline, determination and success are more common to be heard in motivational speeches but words like negativity, regret, and failure are more common to be experienced in real life.

Regret is strong because no matter what you do it will be there. If your priority is love, you will regret it because you’ve put your career behind and if your priority is your career you will regret it because you left your family behind. If luckily you have both there will be something you missed and that is what you will regret. Let me put it this way.

“If you have a wife you will miss the girl that got away and if the one who got away is your wife you will still miss another one who got away.”

Why is the loss more powerful than profit? If you have the investment you can keep spending until you hit the bottom rock. You can go 100 to 0 in seconds but you cannot go 0 to 100 as fast. Realistically speaking, you can go 1 to 10 if you’re determined given enough time. Some of you may disagree but life doesn’t go 0 to 100 that easy.

“The patience, discipline and consistency required to achieve a profit over loss take a lifetime to learn.”

Let’s talk about trust, we all know how hard it is to earn someone’s trust. Imagine all those years of sacrifices, and efforts to build trust, respect, and a good reputation but all it takes is a minute of screw-up to ruin it all, and then you go back to recovery mode.

A human goes through different stages over the period of life. Infancy, pre-school, early-school, adolescence, young, middle and late adulthood. It takes decades of care and growth for a person to just become. And a moment of misfortune the whole life is a waste. It can be an accident, a heart attack, suicide or a murder, neither of these takes as long as it takes to grow.

“A seed takes years to grow but when a tree falls, it takes only a minute whether it is caused by humans or nature itself.”

Have you ever been addicted to something like alcohol, drugs or gambling? If you have you will know being an addict makes your life as negative as it can get. You can keep saving for years but one day you go to a casino or check an online gambling site, just for fun. In one week all of your savings will be gone. It will probably take a little longer if you’re lucky, or unlucky. Either way.

“The point is, it may take a while for you to taste an addiction but you will spend your whole life getting rid of that taste.”

How do we keep our life positive? How do we have memories and not regret, have profit and not loss, have trust and not doubts, and lastly, have control and not addiction?

The answer is peace. It might make you a giving up kind of person but you wouldn’t care when you’re in peace. Regret is all about the things you’ve missed. Of course, you’re missing a lot. This is a huge world filled with new and exciting things just waiting to be experienced. There are literally millions of things you’re missing, everyone is missing, rich or poor. You can go sky diving, play golf, drive a new car every day, fly a helicopter and add all the things you want to do. Even if you do them all, you will still be missing millions of things. But not if you have peace.

Losses happen only when you’re desperate for profit. If you have peace there will be no desperation, and no loss. You may have noticed whenever someone lost faith in you or mistrusted you, it is probably because you’re trying to make money or trying to get something that is not yours. And again, if you have peace you will never run after materialistic things.

“The great thing about peace is if you have it, there will be nothing you won’t have.”
